Congratulations

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another card. I made this a few days ago and I'm finally getting around to posting it. oops!

So if you ask me what colors of distress ink I used to make the background, I couldn't tell ya! Don't remember. I'm pretty sure peacock feathers is one of them though!

Stamp: Simon Says Stamp
ink: Distress ink
paper: ranger watercolor

Hello---CASE This Sketch

And I'm back!

Case This Sketch has posted a new sketch. Lets have a look at it:

And here's the card I made.

Such a FUN card to make!

I'm falling in love with distress ink. I can't help it. The stuff is too fun to play with.

products are from Simon Says Stamp (hello die)
MFT (tag die, and banner. Steel gray, cranberry cocktail paper, grout gray)
Pretty pink posh (clear and charcoal sequins).
Distress ink (aged mahogany).

MFT card challenge

Hello again!

Do you have kids? I do. One boy, age 1. You'd think I have all the time in the world to craft. NO. I wish!

It just so happens that our "craft room" is his favorite room in our house. Once he's in there, he is into everything. I can't craft until he is asleep, and by then I just want to lay down.

But alas, I made a few cards and I'm excited to share them with you.

My Favorite Things has posted a new sketch.
I improvised. Check it out:

All products are from My Favorite Things (except the embossing powder I used to cover the hearts!)

Birthday card, MFT and Distress ink

I am entering this card into the MFT Design Superstar Card Contest.

WOWZA! There are so many amazing cards! It's quite overwhelming!

But nevertheless I'm going to add this card to the mix amongst all the other fabulous ones.

I can't wait to see the cards they select as the winners.

Here's my card:

The beautiful sentiment is from MFT and the inks are distress inks. Oh how I wish I had taken note of the colors I used.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry-Case This Sketch

Christmas card time!! This is not new news. If you follow me on instagram you'll notice I've posted a few Christmas cards already. And to tell you the truth I made a Christmas card in June but was too embarrassed to post it. I SHOULD HAVE POSTED IT! I know. I know. I learned my lesson.

So for the Case This Sketch challenge, they showcased this sketch:

I like it! This challenge blog is really on point. The sketch designs they come up with are superb. Well done Case This Sketch.

Now for my card.

You like? The washi tape is on the inside of the card. The photo doesn't have an amazing representation of how it functions. Oh well.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one!

Baby

For this card I used the adorable bib, gerber daisy, and baby die from My Favorite Things. As well as the polka dot stencil to create the bold background.

I placed the bib on foam tape to add some dimension.

Polka Dots. And more polka dots.

Here's the deal. I go through phases, as I'm sure a lot of you do. I like to call the following: Polka dot phase.

Once I have a particular stamp or die out, I find myself using it to make not just one card, but at least two. Let's be honest, once it's put away, it takes too much effort to walk 2 (small room) or maybe 4 steps to retrieve that particular stamp, stencil, or die. You can take this as a sign of my laziness... or productiveness (seems I got 3 cards made using the polka dot stencil alone!)

Enough of my ramblings. Here are my cards...

The above card is being entered into the MFTSuperstar Challenge.

large portion of the products are from one of my favorite stamp stores, My Favorite Thing. Go check them out!
